Focus and ScopeThe Bioscience Journal is an interdisciplinary electronic journal that publishes scientific articles in the areas of Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences and Health Sciences. Its mission is to disseminate new knowledge while contributing to the development of science in the country and in the world. The journal is published every two months, in English. The opinions and concepts expressed in the published articles are the sole responsibility of their authors.Peer Review ProcessThe articles will be assessed in advance as to their form and suitability in contributing to the editorial policy of the journal. Original contributions, which must be accompanied by a declaration as to their revision of the English language, made by specialists in the field, the position (s) of author (s), will be given priority.The manuscripts approved in the initial phase will be forwarded to three ad hoc reviewers, indicated by one of the associate editors, who will give conclusive opinion as to the work presented. Each manuscript will be reviewed by PhDs with recognized expertise in the study area in question. This process will be performed by the blind review system, ensuring absolute confidentiality, both for the identity of the authors and the reviewers. In situations where there is any conflict of interest, the manuscript will be referred to new reviewers.For the article to be published, the same must receive favorable opinions from at least two ad hoc reviewers and from the Associate Editor responsible for its monitoring. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make changes deemed necessary for the publication of the article, which will become the property of the journal.
