In scope, the journal encompasses all aspects of research into sediments and sedimentary rocks, and at all spatial and temporal scales. It thus aims to provide a forum for the publication of high quality research papers across the entire subject, from analytical techniques to regional or geodynamical aspects of sedimentary systems and basin analysis; subsurface analysis of sedimentary sequences, diagenesis, chemical sedimentology and numerical modelling. The theme is "sedimentary" but the scope is broad.
