The first issue of Journal of Power Electronics (JPE) was in April 2001. The ISO abbreviation of the journal title is ‘J. Power Electron.’ JPE is the official publication of the Korean Institute of Power Electronics (KIPE). The journal is open to submission from scholars and experts in the wide areas of power electronics and electrical drives from the global world. JPE is published bimonthly, appearing on the 20th day of January, March, May, July, September, November each year. Hard copies of JPE are distributed to 51 associations and about 1100 individuals which are in the field of power electronics.The scope of the journal includes all issues in the field of Power Electronics. Included are techniques for power converters, adjustable speed drives, renewable energy, power quality and utility applications, analysis, modeling and control, power devices and components, power electronics education, and other application.Review and tutorial articles on contemporary subjects are strongly encouraged. All papers are to be reviewed by at least three independent reviewers and authors of all accepted papers would be required to complete a copyright from transferring all rights to the KIPE.
