Diversity and Distributions is a journal of conservation biogeography. We publish papers that deal with the application of biogeographical principles, theories, and analyses (being those concerned with the distributional dynamics of taxa and assemblages) to problems concerning the conservation of biodiversity. We seek papers that address key issues, hypotheses or theories of wide interest from a conservation perspective. Papers must have a strong conservation focus.The focus of the journal is the biogeography and ecology of diversity and distributions. Appropriate topics include: innovative applications or methods of species distribution modeling; paradigms, models and frameworks for conservation planning and risk assessment; and the influence of global change, including climate change, land use change and invasive species, on species distributions and range boundaries.Diversity and Distributions makes provision for full-length research papers and reviews as well as short essays (up to 2000 words) considering biodiversity from a particular disciplinary, regional, political, or other standpoints ('Biodiversity Viewpoints'), and short items (up to 1000 words) of general interest with respect to biodiversity ('Biodiversity Letters').
